These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using the Unrelated Design Co. website and working with us. If you use this site or hire us, you agree to these terms.
Effective date: February 26, 2026
Who we are
You are working with a service business. That means we set expectations up front so projects do not turn into chaos later.
Unrelated Design Co. provides branding, graphic design, website-related services, and marketing management.
Using this website
You can browse, contact us, and use our content for your own evaluation. You cannot use our site to scrape, spam, or copy our work.
- You agree not to misuse the website or attempt to break it.
- You agree not to copy, reproduce, or republish our content without written permission.
- You agree not to submit false information through forms or inquiries.
Intellectual property
Everything on this site belongs to Unrelated Design Co. or the parties who licensed it to us. That includes text, graphics, layouts, logos, and portfolio content.
- You may not use our branding, designs, or content without written permission.
- Client trademarks and brand assets shown in our portfolio remain the property of their respective owners.
Quotes, proposals, and scope
Design projects work best when the scope is written down. We provide quotes or proposals that describe deliverables, timelines, and pricing.
- Quotes are valid only for the time stated in the quote or proposal.
- Work starts after you approve the scope and any required deposit is paid.
- Anything outside the agreed scope may require a change order and additional fees.
Client responsibilities
You control the speed of most projects. If you want a fast turnaround, you need to provide inputs fast, too.
- You agree to provide accurate information, content, and assets needed for the project.
- You agree you have the right to use any content or assets you provide.
- You agree to review deliverables and give feedback within the timeline we set together.
Payments
We run a business, not a charity. Payment terms will be stated in your proposal, invoice, or service agreement.
- Deposits, retainers, and milestone payments may be required before work begins or continues.
- Late payments may pause work until the account is current.
- Third-party fees you approve, like hosting, domains, software, printing, or advertising spend, are your responsibility unless we state otherwise in writing.
Revisions and approvals
Revisions keep projects aligned. Endless rounds of revisions do not.
- Your proposal may include a set number of revision rounds. Extra revisions may cost more.
- Once you approve a deliverable, changes may require additional time and fees.
- You are responsible for the final review. That includes spelling, accuracy, and legal compliance for your business.
Project timelines and delays
We build timelines based on your responsiveness and the complexity of the work. Delays happen when feedback or inputs stop.
- Estimated timelines are not guarantees.
- If you delay feedback or deliverables, the schedule may shift.
- If a project stalls for an extended period, we may need to reschedule it or close it out. Any restart may require additional fees.
Third-party services
Websites and marketing depend on tools we do not control. That includes platforms, hosting providers, and ad networks.
- We are not responsible for outages, changes, or limitations caused by third-party providers.
- Accounts you own, like hosting, domains, Google services, and social platforms, should be set up under your control whenever possible.
- Third-party terms apply when you use their services.
Disclaimers
We aim for strong work and clear communication. Still, marketing results depend on many factors that are outside our control.
- We do not guarantee specific results, rankings, revenue, or performance outcomes unless stated in writing.
- Information on this site is general and not legal, financial, or professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Unrelated Design Co. is not liable for indirect or incidental damages related to your use of this website or our services.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
Termination
Sometimes projects need to end. If that happens, we follow the written agreement, and you pay for work completed to date.
- Either party may end a project with written notice, subject to any contract terms.
- Deposits may be non-refundable if stated in your proposal or agreement.
- Deliverables provided before termination remain subject to payment and licensing terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
